POSITION SUMMARY

Drive the sale of fluid power products and services to existing and new customers. Work requires substantial product knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic and electro-mechanical components and systems. Design and recommend power units, troubleshoot customers problems, and recommend solutions. Compensation is based on the gross margin generated in the territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Review sales and current market information to determine the sales potential of customers.
  • Recommends products to customers, based upon customer's needs and business interests.
  • Contact current and prospective customers to grow business relationships and the Hydradyne brand.
  • Prepares drawings, estimates, and bids to meet specific needs of customers.
  • Meet with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services.
  • Obtains credit information on prospective customers.
  • Answer questions about products, prices, and quality, durability and credit terms.
  • Prepare lists of prospective customers, call reports, and other reports as required.
  • Closes sale contracts or forms to record sales information.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Oversees delivery or installation of products to equipment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent/advanced hydraulic degree and/or hands on experience in a hydraulics or related field.

Experience: Three years hydraulic sales experience or equivalent

Skills taught after hire as needed:

Product Training, Hydraulics Training, Pneumatics Training, Mechanics Training, Systems Design, Sales Techniques, Computer System Training, Microsoft Training, ISO Training

Certificates & Licenses:

Certified Fluid Power Specialist preferred

Other Requirements:

Valid Driver's License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
