Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, Discovery, or ITAM preferred
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform administration and engineering experience
Direct, hands-on previous ServiceNow platform administration and engineering experience (not requirements gathering or functional coordination)
Demonstrated experience managing upgrades, releases, code promotion pipelines, and overall instance health in a multi-instance environment
Proven ability to evaluate and enforce design patterns, with a bias toward out-of-the-box configuration over custom scripting
Experience in a retail, distribution, or multi-site enterprise environment
Familiarity with ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
Experience working alongside implementation partners (e.g., RapDev, Accenture, Deloitte) in a platform owner capacity
Exposure to ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, or AI-assisted workflows
Ownership mindset: operates as a technical platform owner who drives outcomes, not a ticket taker who waits for direction
Proven ability to evaluate and enforce design patterns, with a bias toward out-of-the-box configuration over custom scripting
Deep experience with CMDB, CSDM, and Discovery, including data quality management, CI lifecycle governance, and platform health troubleshooting
Strong technical ITSM foundation (Incident, Change, Request, Problem) as part of broader platform engineering, not as a standalone functional role
Solid configuration skills: workflows, forms, business rules, and Flow Designer.
Understanding of configuration vs. customization trade-offs, with a mindset that defaults to out-of-the-box
Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you are expected to take initiative, not wait for instructions
Genuine curiosity about how the platform works end-to-end, not just the modules you've touched. We are looking for someone who wants to understand the whole system
Own the end-to-end technical health, performance, and roadmap of the ServiceNow platform
Set and enforce configuration standards, design patterns, and best practices, prioritizing out-of-the-box solutions over custom development
Lead platform decision-making with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and long-term platform integrity
Establish and maintain technical standards for ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and IT Asset Management
Proactively manage data quality, upgrades, releases, code promotion, and instance health
Serve as the technical authority on platform architecture decisions, including integration design and data model governance
Architect and implement workflows using Flow Designer, with clear rationale for when to use Flow Designer vs. Business Rules vs. scripting
Design and build scalable automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve service delivery
Evaluate enhancement requests with a bias toward out-of-the-box capability, pushing back on unnecessary customization
Shape and participate in platform governance, enhancement intake, and technical design reviews
Monitor platform performance metrics and proactively identify and address operational risk
Partner with implementation partners and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with platform standards
Maintain documentation of platform architecture, configuration standards, and decision rationale
Develop a thorough understanding of Academy's policies and procedures, and state and federal laws regarding Human Resources activities and assist with ensuring compliance
Required to learn company policies, procedures, and safety rules
Duties may change; Team Member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
Regular onsite office attendance is required
