Nevada Community Enrichment Program (NCEP), a program of Accessible Space, Inc., is a nationally recognized, CARF-accredited neuro-rehabilitation center specializing in the treatment of brain injuries in adults, adolescents, and children. Our comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach offers cutting-edge treatment in a highly clinical, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.

 At NCEP, our team of expert clinicians, many of whom are Certified Brain Injury Specialists (CBIS), work together to achieve extraordinary outcomes. Our patients engage in therapy five days per week for six hours per day, receiving intensive services that foster remarkable recoveries. In addition to our residential post-acute program, we have a brand-new state-of-the-art Concussion Clinic, where patients receive individualized treatment for up to three hours per day. We are seeking a Full Time Speech Therapy Aide to provide assistance to the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Speech Therapy Aide Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, and a minimum age of 18 (as required by the State of Nevada).
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write, hear, understand, and speak English
  • Excellent active listening skills and social perceptiveness.
  • Knowledge of behavioral strategies, intervention approaches, and basic data collection skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to apply standards and practices to situations.
  • Education or training in assisting with SLP treatment, experience at a day treatment and/or residential programs for individuals with traumatic brain injuries a plus.

 

Speech Therapy Aide Responsibilities: 

  • Support the interdisciplinary team by following treatment plans and/or protocols
  • Assist the SLP in providing direct care for individuals or small groups, as directed.
  • Collect and compile data to document client performance
  • Consistently work professionally within an interdisciplinary team process.
  • Assist with maintaining and ordering inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to the position including preparing materials and scheduling activities, recordkeeping
