We are seeking a Facility Support Technician to join our team at Alcoa Technical Center (ATC), in New Kensington, PA. In this role, you are part of a highly skilled team that is critical in supporting production and ensuring equipment is operational and materials are moved correctly to consistently meet production, R&D, and our facilities' needs. This position requires an understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems. This role will act as the first line of defense for maintenance items on site.
Key Activities / Responsibilities:
First point of contact for any site breakdown or issues and communicate with site manager on further needs
Lead preventative maintenance activities on site wide systems and equipment
Assisting with troubleshooting and repair on building, mechanical and electrical system components, equipment pulling in single point of accountability, as needed
Own process and lead general facility repair/ needs with support from site SPA's as needed (hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, mechanical, electrical, HVAC)
Maintain critical spares inventory and perform necessary audits
Assisting with maintenance contractor execution including conducting pre-job briefs, safety audits, parts staging, scope execution, and follow-ups
Oracle eAM user- generate site work orders, run backlog reports as needed, prioritize work completion strategies with site maintenance team, and complete final documentation.
Move material as needed throughout the site, including moving items from loading dock to operations areas, bringing catering meals to conference rooms and setup, small package deliveries to end users, and other movement needs
Back-up responsibilities to logistics coordinator; unloading trucks, gate calls, receipts, storage areas
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Associates Degree Preferred)
2 years of working experience in industrial related field
Hands on experience with maintenance and repairs, preferred
Demonstrated working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Self-Motivating
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Fork truck trained with current experience, and meets EHS requirements to maintain certification
