About the role

This is a permanent opportunity, starting with a three-year customised graduate development program. You will join our Information Technology (IT) Automation & Solutions team working closely with various operational and technical teams to support the development and delivery of operations management solutions across our corporate offices, bauxite mines and alumina refineries based in the Peel and Upper Southwest regions. What you'll be doing

As a Graduate Information Technology Analyst at Alcoa, you to learn, grow, and develop hands-on experience and expertise in:

  • Developing capability and expertise as a technology professional in supporting mining or refining operations

  • Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mining systems and software applications.

  • Assisting with project management duties associated with delivering operational systems and software applications.

  • Analysing operational data to troubleshoot issues arising from the use of IT systems in operations equipment.

  • Engaging directly with site-based customers to gather requirements and provide input into technology roadmaps.

  • Assisting in building standards and specifications for onboard operational technology installations.

  • Understanding and practicing safety procedures and controls to keep all Alcoans safe while working in an active operating area

About you

If you are on the path to graduate by the end of 2025 or have recently completed tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, we want to hear from you!

Recruitment Process

About the Location

Alcoa Australia is currently located in Booragoon, WA, but will be relocating to the western end of St Georges Terrace in Perth CBD in Q3 2025. The Booragoon office is situated on Whadjuk Noongar land, 16 kilometres away from Perth's CBD. The office is situated next to Garden City and hosts employees from across several business units, including Commercial, Finance, Sustainability, Communications, Human Resources and the Global Refinery of the Future team.
