THE PERSON:
You have strong technical and analytical skills in C/C++/Python for AI development in Windows and Linux environments, with some knowledge of GPU programming and compilers. You are a capable problem solver who can work independently and collaborate effectively with peers. You possess good communication skills and are enthusiastic about AI technologies, motivated to deliver efficient, feature-rich solutions to customers.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Software Engineer to join the AMD GPU Technology and Engineering Software Team. You will contribute to developing AMD's latest AI software technologies, working with cross-functional teams to optimize the AI software stack and deliver solutions across AMD Radeon and Ryzen product families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and optimize AI software solutions for AMD customers.
- Enable and tune software stacks for frameworks like ONNX and PyTorch, as well as emerging open-source AI tools.
- Integrate and validate new state-of-the-art AI models, improving performance and efficiency.
- Participate in end-to-end development: feature scoping, implementation, integration, and verification.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong cross-platform software development experience and deep programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and effective communication skills.
- Development experience on CONV, GEMM, and/or non-linear operators; GPU acceleration experience with compiler and low-level GPU programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and inference stacks.
- Solid understanding of AI and ML concepts and performance implications on AI acceleration of different compute, memory, and communication configurations.
- Open-source software development experience is a plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant fields.
