THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a Channel Enablement Specialist to strengthen its partner ecosystem by developing and executing enablement programs that equip partners with the tools, training, and resources they need to drive sales and maximize performance. This role ensures alignment between AMD's business objectives and partner strategies while optimizing engagement through structured enablement initiatives.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and an excellent communicator with a passion for empowering partners. This role requires experience in partner enablement, training, and sales support, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal teams across sales channels, marketing, operations, and product management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner Enablement & Training
- Develop and implement structured onboarding programs to accelerate time-to-productivity for new partners.
- Design and deliver partner training sessions, including product overviews, technical deep dives, and sales strategy workshops.
- Create and/or maintain enablement content such as sales collateral, playbooks, competitive analysis, FAQs, and certification programs.
- Ensure training resources are localised and customized for regional market needs.
- Continuously update training materials to align with AMD's evolving product portfolio and market strategies.
Program Execution & Partner Support
- Assist in executing AMD's Partner Program, including MDF (Market Development Funds), incentive structures, and partner rewards initiatives.
- Support the development and distribution of program documentation, guidelines, and communications to ensure partner awareness and compliance.
- Manage partner portal content and ensure seamless access to critical enablement resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product management) to ensure successful program execution.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Provide partners with sales enablement resources, including value propositions, go-to-market strategies, and competitive insights.
- Work with channel sales teams to develop and distribute partner messaging, tools, and best practices to enhance deal conversion.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing partner engagement.
- Organise and support partner-facing events, webinars, and workshops to drive engagement and knowledge-sharing.
Performance Tracking & Process Optimization
- Monitor and analyse partner performance metrics, training completion rates, and engagement levels.
- Provide data-driven insights to refine enablement strategies, enhance partner productivity, and drive revenue growth.
- Identify gaps in partner engagement and develop targeted solutions to improve participation and performance.
- Streamline partner engagement workflows, automate reporting, and enhance operational efficiency through CRM tools like Salesforce.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between AMD and its partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on business objectives.
- Gather and relay partner feedback to internal teams (product development, marketing, and sales) to drive continuous program improvement.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insights on partner engagement trends, program effectiveness, and market opportunities.
- Ensure partners receive timely updates on product changes, promotions, and business opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and partner needs to refine AMD's enablement programs.
- Work with leadership to adapt AMD's channel strategy based on market dynamics and partner feedback.
- Provide recommendations for new enablement initiatives based on emerging industry best practices.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of experience in channel sales, partner enablement, or a related role within the IT industry.
- Experience working with channel partner programs, sales enablement strategies, and partner training initiatives.
- Proven ability to execute partner engagement programs that drive measurable results.
Technical & Business Acumen
- Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, cloud solutions, and channel sales models.
- Familiarity with partner ecosystems, distribution strategies, and B2B sales cycles.
Communication & Training Skills
- Ability to present and train diverse audiences, from sales teams to technical partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Experience managing multiple initiatives, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Experience analysing partner performance data and using insights to optimize enablement programs.
- Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
Tools & Technology
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), learning management systems (LMS), and partner portal management.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools for reporting and analysis.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
