Customer Experience Engineering - Program Management Engineer

 

The Role:

 

We are currently seeking a Program Management Engineer to join our Customer eXperience Engineering (CXE) team, which is part of AMD's Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly strategic and important part of AMD's business, targeting the next generation of FPGA, System-On-Chip & Embedded x86 technologies and tools to meet the needs of our broad market of customers..

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and driving programs from initiation through to delivery, interfacing with various stakeholders across functions on technical matters, as needed. They will develop, define, and executes plans of record, including schedules, resources, deliverables, and risks.

 

As part of the CXE team you will act as ‘Customer Zero', developing full system solutions on our next generations of Adaptive SoC/FPGA/Embedded x86 devices, tools and software. You will provide a customer perspective to influence the architecture of our next generation silicon and tools

 

You will work with leading edge FPGA/Adaptive SoC/Embedded x86 hardware and software technologies from AMD-Xilinx, including Vivado Design Suite, Vitis, Vitis AI, Versal ACAP devices and Evaluation cards. As a key contributor, you will work alongside a diverse and experienced design team that will enable enormous opportunities for learning and self-development.

  • Able to communicate openly and clearly in meetings, presentations, emails, and reports
  • Able to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data.
  • Proven track record of program management of technical projects

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the establishment of program goals and prioritizes deliverables under minimal supervision of Program Management stakeholders.
  • Manages and takes responsibility for multiple programs by applying up-to-date program management knowledge
  • Builds and manages the execution of the Plan of Record schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.
  • Tracks all key metrics pertaining to a program, provides early warning for potential metric deviations and escalates in timely manner when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record.
  • Identify program issues/risks and maintain and update risk tracker.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience with program management tools such as dashboards, Gantt charts, etc.
  • Familiarity collaborating with teams across geographies

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
