THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a seasoned Data Center subject matter expert and Sales Strategy leader to join our Global Sales Strategy & Planning team. This position will play a critical role in accelerating growth in AMD's Data Center business.

 

As a key leader in this space, you will identify market opportunities, co-develop GTM strategies with regional leadership and OEMs, define and track go-to-market KPIs, and drive execution in partnership with Sales, Business Unit, Marketing, and Finance teams. This highly collaborative role focuses on strategic sales planning and execution, enabling AMD's Data Center business to scale and succeed.

We're looking for a senior Sales Strategy & planning leader with a passion for driving impact, a strong sense of ownership, and a track record of success in developing data-driven strategies that lead to measurable results.

 

You're a great fit if you bring:

 

  • Strategic Expertise: Deep understanding of the Server/Data Center space, with the ability to assess market trends, develop insights from data, and shape GTM strategy across regions and functions. 
  • Execution Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, fast-moving projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong influencing skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams around a common vision. You know how to engage, build trust, and drive adoption. 
  • Exceptional Communication: Clear, concise, articulate communicator—able to connect with executives, cross-functional partners, and customers to deliver insights and drive action.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and guide compelling go-to-market plans —from concept and financial modeling to implementation
  • Collaborate across Business Units, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to ensure sales plans alignment and effectiveness 
  • Drive growth in AMD's Data Center business through sales and marketing strategy, program execution, and partner collaboration 
  • Analyze market data and create actionable reporting that drives strategy 
  • Develop and lead business planning frameworks that align goals, investments, and GTM activities 
  • Track sales programs and budgets, ensuring optimization and ROI

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Leadership: Proven experience leading Sales Strategy and GTM initiatives at a senior level 
  • Industry: Expertise in Enterprise/Data Center segments with deep knowledge of CPU/GPU/Cloud markets 
  • Customer/Partner: Experience engaging and influencing MNCs and global strategic partners 
  • Global: Success operating in large, global matrixed organizations 
  • Sales: Deep familiarity with sales processes, enterprise buying cycles, and driving adoption of new technologies in complex environments

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS/MS in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred or equivalent experience
