THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Firmware Power Engineer to join our Power Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and validating firmware for advanced power systems used in ultra-high rack power infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and power vendors to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure power solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define firmware requirements and architecture for rack power solutions.
- Design, develop, and validate firmware for digital power supplies and power distribution systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and validation strategies for power systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and ODMs to ensure timely delivery and quality of firmware and hardware components.
- Analyze system-level power performance and troubleshoot issues across firmware and hardware layers.
- Review and validate vendor test report, providing technical feedback and guidance.
- Conduct feasibility studies, margin analysis, and empirical testing for new and existing designs.
- Ensure secure firmware design, including implementation of Root of Trust and other security technologies.
- Participate in system integration and qualification of power solutions into AI server platforms.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years of server digital power development experience
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience in power firmware development.
- Proficient in digital power firmware design and debugging, preferably with DSP platforms (e.g., ST STM32G4, TI C2000, Microchip dsPIC, secure IC).
- Solid understanding of power topologies (PFC, FBPS, LLC, HVDC) and architecture of power shelf, BBU shelf, Power shelf controller.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power meters, electronic loads, AC/DC sources, data logger, etc.
- Familiarity with firmware security principles and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- MS in Electronic Engineering (or relative engineering fields)
