THE ROLE:

At AMD, we are on the lookout for a dynamic Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our mission of delivering world-class products across the globe. THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn new technologies and a collaborative mindset to enable key application solutions in a team environment. Effective communication with multi-functional teams and executive management is essential, along with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a constantly evolving technology landscape.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End-to-end application and feature development.
  • Solution development with a production end-state in mind.
  • Own new features from design to production release.
  • Work closely with architects and domain experts to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
  • Review code and provide peer feedback.
  • Participate and lead Agile backlog grooming, story creation, and sizing.
  • Guide a team of peer data scientists on technical and project related activities.
  • Interact professionally with business partners, external partners and key contacts.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated record of development and implementation of advanced Data Science analytics solutions.
  • Experience with one of the major cloud platforms.
  • Practical experience in the entire software lifecycle - Gathering requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Maintenance.
  • Experience in operational functions like product development, supply chain and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience with Python, SQL and Java.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • MS in Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
