THE ROLE

We are looking for a technical manager to lead a software development team delivering IP diagnostic suites and debugging support across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments for cross business unit products. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader with hands-on engineering in depth who enjoys building high-performance team and solving complex challenges, using effective communication, problem-solving capabilities, and team management and interpersonal skills.

 

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who knows how to develop talent, set direction, and deliver results in a fast-paced engineering environment. You bring strong software development fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across silicon design, firmware, platform and program teams. You are comfortable balancing people leadership with hands-on technical engagement when needed.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of software development engineers, focused on new IP generations test planning, test cases development, pre-silicon emulation, post-silicon bring-up and full feature enablement, and cross IPs library and issue debugging support.
  • Set team priorities, execution plans, and own milestone deliveries of high-quality IP diagnostic test suites aligned with program teams and organizational goals.
  • Build team capability through hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Identify risks early, drive mitigation plans, and communicate execution status clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with architecture, silicon design, firmware, platform, manufacturing, and program teams.
  • Contribute hands-on technical guidance where needed to resolve critical issues, accelerate debug, and improve engineering effectiveness.
  • Champion best practices in quality, maintainability, scalability, and continuous improvement.

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years overall experience in field of software or firmware development and several years in leading a development team.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional execution across multiple priorities, milestones, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership and hold the team accountable for deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Experience in software and/or firmware development with proficiency in C/C++ and Linux-based development environments.
  • Good knowledge of HSIO domains is desired.
  • Experience with pre- or post-silicon verification/validation is a desired.
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
