THE ROLE:
The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing Validation Team is looking for a dynamic and energetic engineer to join our growing post-silicon validation team. The responsibility of Memory validation Data analytics is to collect, analyze, and interpret data to uncover meaningful insights and patterns that drive informed decision-making and strategic business goals. The dataset of various Memory defects, bugs and issues comes from various sources of Manufacturing and High-Volume labs while running Machine Learning (ML), and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads. In this role, validation engineer is the critical interface between cross-functional Product Engineering, Quality, Reliability & Platform teams, and enable mass production of Data Center GPU for customer deliveries. The validation team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.
THE PERSON:
An experienced self-starter who can work independently and collaborate with cross-function teams to debug and resolve issues. As a valued team member, you are expected to lead by example, and mentor junior engineers. You should be hands-on with new hardware and software tools and comfortable working with global teams. The sought-after candidate possess good knowledge of various Memory technologies (HBM, LPDDR), including SoC memory architecture, Unified Memory controller, PHY design and high speed IO interface, DRAM device, and associated calibration/training mechanisms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, Cleanse & Interpret, Visualize & Create interactive Dashboard, Prepare & Communicate Reports, of large volume and manufacturing data of Data Center GPU production line
Develop Python scripts to extract data from various data engineering and infrastructure sources
Able to articulate and communicate findings, make recommendations to datacenter project management and infrastructure teams
Extraordinary leadership skills and ability to inspire team members with an innate ability to see the bigger picture.
Ability to understand complex technical discussions, extract action plans, and to succinctly summarize complex details for executive reporting
Experience working with major DRAM memory vendors and validation of DRAM device is a plus.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in SoC or Platform validation, verification and debug of High-Bandwidth Memory sub-system
5+ years' experience mining data (including time-series) as a data analyst, analytics engineer, or business intelligence engineer
Knowledge of datacenter, medium/large-size computing laboratory, or cluster management operations
Experience with data analytics, visualizations, and report generation (PowerBI, Thoughtspot, Excel, JMP)
Experience writing code in Python or similar languages, SQL, and APIs to extract data from warehouses in places like Postgres, Databricks, or Snowflake for high-availability, low-latency enterprise solutions
Experience in development, monitoring, and debugging pipelines for batch, microbatch, real-time, and streaming products at enterprise scale
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Able to work as a team and work efficiently in a dynamic environment and on multiple projects
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science
