THE ROLE:

Being in External Manufacturing Operations (Backend Engineering), candidate is required to drive supplier engagement with external manufacturers on delivering Key Performance Indices, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supplier Manufacturing Readiness & Audit, Excursion Free processes, enable New Capabilities, and drive Value Engineering activities.

THE PERSON:

The successful candidates must be a team player with a commitment to meet deadlines/lead & drive for solutions and have an aptitude to thrive & work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. He or she would have excellent supplier management skills, cross-functional project management skills, conflict management skills, with strong interpersonal skills with good executive presentation & communication skills. Demonstrating strong leadership to excel in his/her works with minimum supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive supplier engagement on continuous improvement, new capabilities ahead of need and value engineering activities.
• Drive New Product Introduction activities and Ramp Up readiness with suppliers.
• Drive suppliers on issue resolution and issue prevention.
• Drive suppliers to meet key performance indices and host half yearly technical reviews.
• Plan and execute change management from internal or external parties.
• Work cross-functionally to develop value engineering schedules, budgets, technical deliverables and monitor progress to ensure goals are met.
• Involve in regional supplier management and audit.
• Drive continuous business process improvement on Analytics automation.
• Overseas travelling as required.
• Assist in additional duties as deemed fit by supervisor.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong knowledge in Flip Chip and Advanced Packaging. (operational experience in bumping/assembly/substrate manufacturing are added advantage)
• Good knowledge in Semiconductor Materials. (lid/stiffener, adhesives, substrate, underfill)
• Track record of supplier management and drive suppliers towards operational excellence and issue resolution.
• Proven experience in leading projects (CIP/change management/cost saving).
• Proven experience in New Product bring-up, and value engineering projects.
• Good leadership and interpersonal relationship.
• Familiar with tools (JMP, minitab, failure analysis knowledges, package reliability knowledges) and industry standard (ESD, Jedec, Automotive).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor/MS degree in Mechanical or Material or Chemical Engineering.
• 10 years of working experience in Backend Semiconductor.
• Added advantage with Project Management Professional (PMP) certified,
• Fluent in Mandarin and English both oral and written.
