THE ROLE:
As a PMTS Firmware/Software development engineer, you are working, leading and collaborating in a very positive team environment, developing drivers, FW/SW test routines, and bringing to life the most advanced board products used in Data Centers, HPC, Smart networking, Video. The boards we develop have the most advanced interfaces like PCIe Gen 7/6/5, DDRx/LPDDRx, 56G/112G/224G Transceivers, 200/400/800G Ethernet ports and are driving transformation in AI/ML/Inferencing, Video transcoding/monitoring, HPC, FinTech, and 6G Wireless.
THE PERSON:
You are a self-driven and motivated FW/SW development expert with strong coding skills and are eager to work on the most advanced technologies/products. You have mastery in C/C++/embedded FW development. You get motivation and satisfaction from doing top-quality work and in leading top-quality SW/FW engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for SW/FW development to test various HW functions in a board product
- Responsible for integrating SW/FW routines developed by IP centers of excellence into functional test program
- Work with other functional teams distributed globally, including HW design, Quality, Operations, Solutions etc
- Responsible for functional test development for boards during bring-up, DVT, proto/qualification phases before releasing into production.
- Responsible for leading and guiding other FW/SW development engineers
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Mastery in C programming with heavy usage of pointers, structs, unions, bit fields for organizing program data. Familiar with standard C library functions, file I/O and parsing techniques.
- In-depth C++ programming experience with object-oriented design techniques including developing a class hierarchy.
- Strong embedded system (firmware) and/or device driver programming experience. Requires register level programming and developing software from chip datasheets.
- Windows and/or Linux multithreaded application programming experience.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer engineering
