Server Signal Integrity/Power Integrity Lead Engineer

 

Role:

AMD has an opening for Signal Integrity/Power Integrity engineer in Server Division working on system level signal integrity and power delivery network design and customer support for EPYC products.

 

The Person:

As a SIPI engineer on AMD server platform team, you will be directly working together with silicon architecture team and platform team to influence the design of server products. The main focus will be on system level SIPI design to meet interface timing You will have chance to show impact in both pre-silicon stage and post-silicon stage. For post-silicon stage, you will get chance to validate/test the noise in lab and perform correlation as well. more details is shown below:

  • Deep understanding of VRM working mechanism and both passive, active modeling
  • Board/system-level power delivery network AC+DC simulation for low-voltage/high-current supplies
  • Deep understanding of DDR and HSIO system timing allocation and component impact.
  • System-level signal integrity and power integrity understanding including silicon, package, and board.
  • Electromagnetic modeling of 3-D structures.
  • A key responsibility of this position will be to work closely with the customer support organization and to support customers with power integrity issues

 

Qualifications: 

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with desired experience in analog/logic validation and characterization.
  • 8+ years of experience with component and system level SIPI analysis
  • Experience with DDR4/5, LPDDR4/5, U/R/LR DIMM JEDEC standards, PCIe4/5/6;
  • Experience with hardware architecture

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with desired experience in analog/logic validation and characterization.
