THE ROLE: 

This position is responsible for ensuring supply to support GPU mass production revenue associated with board assemblies, include align demand and supply, drive for material readiness, engineering information delivery, schedule build and shipment. This role will work collaboratively with multiple business functions in a team environment.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Helps set strategic direction of inventory and supply planning: improve supply planning for factory optimization, inventory level, and flexibility; assisting engineering in capital investment and tool development is a plus
  • Integrated financial analysis, focusing on supply chain risk management and the impact of disruptions; provides analysis and recommendations for sourcing decisions and global flexibility, including impact on inventory buffer levels and locations
  • Integrates forecast accuracy work with the Business Management Team into supply planning processes
  • Manages and ensures adherence to finished goods buffering and manufacturing strategy; understanding of ABC class code and its management is a plus
  • Oversees product life cycle management (from SKU approval to EOL)
  • Handles disposition of inactive inventory and returns
  • Conducts surplus inventory analysis and drives demand shaping with business units for consumption
  • Manages scrap and reserves (projected reserves) and works closely with finance
  • Collaborates with Finance on costing, ASP, margin, etc.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
 

  • Good communication skill, working with CM account team and material team to negotiate build schedule, liability, and responsibilities
  • Have the ability/experience to manage multiple SMT assemblies with part counts in the neighborhood of 300 components
  • Experience in netting logic surrounding gross inventory and net inventory (CM inventory/hub inventory)
  • EC management experience in dealing with SMT assemblies (remove/add)
  • Ability to interact with account teams across multiple time zones and speak fluent English
  • Understanding and experience in managing procurement during shortages and sourcing strategies
  • Experience in inventory analysis dealing with obsolete, surplus, and inactive inventory
  • Experience in handling RMA/re-work material

 


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
 

  • 8+ years' experience in electronic industrial, include 2+ years' experience of planning function.
  • Experience in EMS (electrical manufacturing service) industry is preferred
  • Materials management background.
  • Experience with MRP systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PC based software suites including MS Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor degree of engineering, supply chain, administration.
