THE ROLE:

Join a collaborative finance team responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records. As part of the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, you will manage general ledger activities, support month-end and year-end close, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders. This role offers exposure to financial reporting, analysis, and automation initiatives, while contributing to process improvements and business growth in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills. A reliable team player who can also work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Month-End and Year-End Close
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities (US GAAP and Local GAAP).
  • Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, intercompany, fixed assets, leases, etc.).
  • Analyze account variances and investigate unusual balances.
  • Ensure timely and accurate close with proper documentation and follow-ups.
General Ledger & Reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and account classifications.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
  • Identify risks, control gaps, and process issues; escalate when required.
Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting
  • Manage fixed asset lifecycle: capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals.
  • Support lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 / IFRS 16.
  • Collaborate with business teams on asset and lease changes.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
  • Support external/internal audits and prepare required schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and audit readiness.
  • Identify control weaknesses and support remediation efforts.
Reporting & Business Support
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and variance analysis.
  • Track KPIs, close metrics, and reconciliation status.
  • Support finance projects, system changes, and business initiatives.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work.
  • Support automation using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SAP, or RPA.
  • Contribute to standardization, documentation, and finance transformation efforts.

 

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in R2R, general ledger, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP; exposure to IFRS or Local GAAP is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP and reconciliation tools (e.g., Blackline).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or RPA is a plus.
  • Experience in multinational or shared services environments preferred.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
