Senior RFP Manager – Government Supercomputing Solutions
THE ROLE:
As an RFP Manager for Supercomputer Procurement, you will orchestrate complex proposal responses that showcase AMD's high-performance computing solutions to customers. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across hardware, software, AI/ML, and business development to deliver compelling, technically accurate proposals that win strategic government contracts. Working within AMD's ecosystem, you will manage the entire lifecycle from RFI through contract execution, ensuring seamless delivery of supercomputing solutions that advance national priorities in HPC and AI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Proposal Leadership: Lead end-to-end RFP responses coordinating hardware engineering, software development, AI/ML teams, and business development to present unified technical solutions
- Government Contract Management: Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) and manage contract compliance throughout project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to FAR/DFAR requirements
- Cross-Functional Integration: Coordinate input from Node Architecture, Node Design, Node Performance, Product Management, and platform engineering teams to deliver cohesive proposals
- Technical Solution Development: Collaborate with benchmarking, GPU/CPU applications, and platform validation teams to ensure proposals meet performance requirements
- Lifecycle Management: Track deliverables from contract award through system end-of-life, managing government customer expectations and ensuring successful project outcomes
- Process Optimization: Implement robust project management processes using Jira and Confluence to track requirements delivery and accelerate future response capabilities
- Knowledge Management: Build and maintain proposal knowledge bases and automation tools that enhance organizational bid capabilities
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate collaboration with legal, contracts, business development, and marketing teams to ensure proposal alignment with business objectives
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Government Contracting Expertise: Strong background in federal contracting processes, SOW development, and contract management from award through closeout
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- Managing complex government RFP responses for technology solutions
- Federal contract compliance and performance management
- High-performance computing or AI/ML infrastructure procurement
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with supercomputing architectures, GPU/CPU performance metrics, and system integration concepts
- Project Management: In-depth knowledge of project management best practices, including Jira, Confluence, resource coordination, and cross-functional team leadership
- Communication Skills: Proven track record developing client-facing materials and coordinating between technical teams and government stakeholders
- Process Improvement: Experience implementing knowledge management systems and process automation for organizational efficiency
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- B.A. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Advanced degrees such as M.Sc., M.Eng., MBA, or relevant certifications (PMP, etc.) are preferred
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances
