SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 2

THE ROLE: 

This exciting position as Silicon Design Engineer 2 in AMD's Data Center / Networking solutions group will provide the individual with an opportunity to demonstrate strong technical leadership across the design hierarchy from architecture to Productization. Join us in providing innovative IP solutions as we embark on our journey into the rapidly growing data center and storage segment with the ultimate goal of delivering the leading-edge IP Solutions for data center networking solutions
 
As an Silicon Design Engineer 2, you will work as part of a team responsible for all phases of product development, including product definition and delivery. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, comfortable and willing to directly work with customers when required. 
 
THE PERSON:

A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.

 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience is required 
• Proven experience in Silicon IP development process, methodologies, Design for Test methodologies
• Experience with Verilog RTL design, VCS simulation tool, Perl/Shell scripting
• Detailed understanding and proven track record of developing leading-edge networking IP solutions such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, RDMA etc.
• Experience on developing emerging technologies like NVMe is a plus
• Detailed knowledge of PCIe is a plus
• General understanding of storage software and its impact on HW architecture and design
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
• The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert
• Ability to work on complex issues where analysis situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

 
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
