THE ROLE:
To support failure root cause of AMD processors and manage strategic development for new technology in Device Analysis
THE PERSON:
You will provide technical supervision or mentoring to junior engineers and influence others as a technical leader. You have the capability assuming the consultative or leadership responsibilities for large projects or product development initiatives, while dealing with internal and external groups on behalf of the group or project. This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or the product line and also report statuses and opportunities to the senior leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Failure analysis of advanced microprocessors and graphics processors based on FINFET technology
- Perform Silicon Debug, Fault Isolation and DFT diagnostics on Advanced Graphics and Microprocessors using state of the art Tester, Diagnostics, Simulation, CAD and Design/Electrical analysis tools.
- Initiate and drive projects with functional group leaders and staff across Design, Silicon Technology Development, Product/Assembly Engineering, Advanced Packaging across sites
- Development of new techniques for advanced technology nodes
- Upscale overall team capabilities and mentoring team members
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- You will have in-depth knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing, IC failure analysis, device physics, standard cell design, RTL, verification, transistor device physics, packaging processes.
- Able to work with cross-department and global teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, distributed team.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Master's / Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering with hands on Failure Analysis, IC Design, Product/Test Engineering expertise.
