Sr. Product Application Engineer THE ROLE: WTS is recognized as providing Best in Class technical support that accelerates the customer's design cycle and influences solution quality to improve customer experience. WTS handles complex issues in various stages of FPGA design flow for premier customers. This position would give the candidate exposure to architecture, design, timing, IP, hardware and many more intricacies involved in Xilinx, an AMD company product. The work culture here would entitle them to work with Worldwide PAE's that will help them gain invaluable, hands-on work experience along with professional network with work that demands cross-functional collaboration. THE PERSON:
- Ability to communicate technical information in an organized and understandable fashion
- Customer oriented approach with a demonstrated concern and desire to work with and assist customers
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and track many activities
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Provide direct technical support to customers on critical design issues
- Work in a team environment in identifying customer problems and proposing appropriate solutions
- Provide customers advice on alternative design techniques and the implementation of alternative solutions
- Provide information and data on a variety of Xilinx, an AMD company products
- Provide solutions for specific customer needs
- Working on specific tactical projects for key design programs
- Coaching customers on design techniques
- Generating Answer Records
- Provide input to product development teams
- Handling customer escalations and tactical software patch requests
- Summarizing and providing customer feedback to development teams
- Experienced with building and debugging Embedded Systems especially built on AMD SoCs like Versal, Zynq Ultrascale+, Zynq-7000 etc.
- Excellent knowledge of Embedded SW - Operating Systems, Drivers, Firmware etc.
- Awareness of ARM AXI protocol.
- Working knowledge of Booting & Configuration of SoCs - Boot firmware, multi-stage boot, booting mediums (SD, JTAG, QSPI etc.)
- Good exposure to hardware & software debug tools
- Preference to be given to candidates with hands-on experience with Vivado, Vitis, Petalinux, Yocto etc.
- 6-7 yrs. with Masters / Bachelor or equivalent in the field of Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
- PG-Diploma in Embedded Systems from a reputed institute/university is a plus.
