THE ROLE:

This Sr. Finance Analyst role is a high-visibility position within AMD's Finance organization located in Austin, TX.  This role is critical to the success of the business and works within the Compute & Enterprise AI business unit (BU) Finance organization. The role will work directly with the BU Finance leads to drive growth within the business. Key responsibilities include deal support including contract tracking, contract review, and financial analysis of proposed deals. This role supports the BU teams in driving deals from concept phase to final execution.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should have a bias for action, high sense of teamwork, ability to speak up and make recommendations in a fast-moving environment, and strong comfortability business partnering to achieve common goals. Additionally, we are looking for a teammate with leadership capability that will drive cross-organizational initiatives to strategically grow the Compute & Enterprise AI business unit revenue while optimizing for margin and serve as a strong finance partner to Compute & Enterprise AI Business leadership. The role requires someone with capability to grow within the position and in the future, rotate to Finance leadership positions within the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the Finance support driving execution of key strategic deals across the Compute & Enterprise AI BU team.
• Develop comprehensive tracking of all proposed deals by the Compute & Enterprise AI BU and ensure appropriate review by partner teams such as Accounting and Sales Finance.
• Work with BU partners to refine deal content in preparation for contract review board with Executive Leadership.
• Perform financial analysis and provide decision analysis support for strategic growth opportunities within the Compute & Enterprise AI business unit.
• Coordinate with and provide operational finance guidance to various organizations and individuals across cross-functional teams such as Business Unit Operations, Sales Operations, Accounting, and other Finance teams.
• Assist in providing value-added management decision support, driving key business goals, identify major trends and corresponding business issues.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, teaming, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated financial leadership effectively supporting Business leaders in a high-growth environment
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, etc); experience in SQL, Python, or other data related programming language a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent
• MBA or Master's in Finance preferred
• Preferred experience in a global fast-paced competitive multi-site high-tech environment
