THE ROLE 

AMD is seeking a Senior Commercial Channel Account Manager to drive strategic growth across our commercial computing business within the channel ecosystem. This highly visible role will be responsible for accelerating AMD adoption across commercial PCs, workstations, professional graphics, and server solutions through key distribution, reseller, and channel partnerships. 

As a trusted business advisor to partners and customers, you will develop and execute go-to-market strategies, identify new business opportunities, build executive-level relationships, and influence long-term business plans that increase AMD market share. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, and Partner Organizations to deliver impactful business outcomes. 

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of AI-enabled commercial computing while helping customers and partners leverage AMD's industry-leading technologies to solve complex business challenges. 

 

THE PERSON 

The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for building lasting partnerships. You combine strong commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset and have a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from sales representatives to executive leadership. 

You are equally comfortable developing market expansion strategies, negotiating business initiatives, presenting to senior decision-makers, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth objectives. You are energized by driving results, creating new opportunities, and championing innovative technologies in competitive markets. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and execute strategic account and business development plans to accelerate AMD commercial business growth across distribution, NSP, VAR, and OEM partners. 

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships that strengthen AMD's position within key channel accounts and drive long-term business success. 

  • Identify new revenue opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and partner-led growth strategies. 

  • Drive adoption of AMD commercial PC, workstation, graphics, and server technologies through partner enablement, business planning, and customer engagement activities. 

  • Collaborate with partners on joint sales and marketing initiatives that increase pipeline generation, demand creation, and market penetration. 

  • Deliver compelling executive and customer presentations that communicate AMD's value proposition, technology leadership, and strategic vision. 

  • Lead partner training and enablement programs that improve sales effectiveness and increase AMD mindshare throughout the channel. 

  • Act as the voice of the customer and partner ecosystem within AMD, influencing business priorities and ensuring successful issue resolution. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Commercial Business Units to develop and execute growth initiatives. 

  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue, market share, and business performance objectives. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience developing and growing commercial business through distribution, NSP, VAR, reseller, and OEM partner ecosystems. 

  • Strong understanding of the enterprise technology, data center, work station, and commercial PC markets. 

  • Established relationships within the IT channel and commercial computing community. 

  • Demonstrated success developing executive relationships and leading strategic business discussions with customers and partners. 

  • Experience creating and executing go-to-market plans, partner programs, and demand-generation initiatives. 

  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional, global teams in a matrixed organization. 

  • Strong negotiation, business planning, and account management capabilities. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and growth opportunities. 

  • Ability to travel as business needs require. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

  • MBA or advanced business qualification is a plus.
