THE ROLE:
The Property Tax Analyst is a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional responsible for managing property tax matters across multiple legal entities. This role focuses on all indirect tax aspects in relation to fixed assets, expensed equipment and supplies. The successful candidate will identify tax savings opportunities, support acquisition integrations, and ensure accurate data gathering and validation. The Property Tax Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain compliance and optimize tax processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage the property tax cycle, including rendition, payment, forecasting, and account reconciliation for multiple legal entities.
- Monitor and validate fixed asset records to ensure accurate property tax reporting.
- Assist with sale and use tax compliance throughout the year, with specific attention to fixed asset acquisition and disposition
- Gather, analyze, and verify property tax data from internal and external sources.
- Identify and implement property tax savings opportunities through research and process improvements.
- Provide technical tax support for acquisition integrations and new business initiatives.
- Coordinate with outsourced partners to ensure timely and accurate preparation of property tax returns.
- Liaise with facilities teams, fixed asset accounting teams, and business units to resolve tax-related issues and facilitate accurate reporting.
- Act as a team player within an international indirect tax team
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience managing property tax cycles across multiple entities.
Strong knowledge of fixed assets and property tax reporting.
Familiarity with indirect taxes, including sales/use tax on acquisitions and dispositions.
Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and validating tax data.
Experience identifying and implementing property tax savings opportunities.
Ability to support acquisitions and business integrations from a tax perspective.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party tax providers.
Knowledge of audit processes and preparing supporting documentation.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree; CPA preferred
