System PnP Engineer – SoC Benchmarking & IP-Level Analysis :

 

Job Title: System PnP Engineer – SoC Benchmarking & IP-Level Analysis 

Location: Bengaluru, India

 

Job Overview:

We are looking for a System PnP Engineer with deep expertise in SoC-level performance benchmarking and analysis. This role focuses on characterizing and optimizing the behavior of AMD's x86 SoC platforms by analyzing the performance of key IP blocks including CPU, GPU, and NPU, ensuring silicon delivers optimal performance with no internal bottlenecks.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Execute performance workloads and benchmarks across CPU, GPU, and NPU subsystems
  • Analyze SoC behavior using platform telemetry, performance counters, and hardware traces
  • Drive performance debug and tuning by working with SoC architects, RTL designers, and firmware/software teams
  • Identify SoC bottlenecks due to hardware configuration, firmware limitations, or software interactions
  • Contribute to platform-level performance reports and optimization guidance
  • Validate performance consistency across thermal, electrical, and workload variations

 

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with benchmarking tools (e.g., SPEC, Geekbench, GFXBench, MLPerf, 3DMark, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of CPU/GPU/NPU microarchitecture and performance metrics
  • Experience with SoC performance counters, trace tools (e.g., ETM, PTM, Trace32), and telemetry analysis
  • Strong understanding of power/performance tradeoffs in silicon
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Python or MATLAB
  • Ability to isolate and debug system-level performance regressions

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with power management frameworks, voltage/frequency scaling, or thermal throttling control
  • Background in pre-silicon performance modeling or silicon bring-up
  • Familiarity with Linux/Android-based software stacks and how they interact with SoC-level performance
