THE ROLE:
This team plays a critical role in validating and ensuring the quality of AMD's networking SoC (System-on-Chip) products before they enter high-volume manufacturing. Sitting at the intersection of hardware, software, and manufacturing, the team acts as the final gate to ensure silicon and systems are reliable, thoroughly tested, and ready for production.

They thrive in highly collaborative environments, can quickly adapt to changing priorities, and are comfortable working across multiple domains. They're detail-oriented, proactive, and able to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, testable solutions — ensuring flawless execution through final product validation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with functional teams in the hardware group, board designers, signal integrity engineers, ASIC, and software teams.
- Validate AMD's latest networking SoC production and deliver test packages to contract manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain Python-based testing scripts and infrastructure to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to support seamless test execution and production readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test automation and delivery processes.
- Drive clear documentation and effective communication across cross-functional quality reviews.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong background in QA and/or software engineering with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with other scripting languages (Bash, TCL) is a plus.
- Experience with modern delivery stacks (CI/CD) and test automation frameworks.
- Previous experience working with contract manufacturing environments.
- Strong systems thinking and risk-based testing mindset; fluency in telemetry/observability (logs, metrics, traces).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional quality reviews.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred.
