Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.


To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a BIM Coordinator located in Blackburn, England.

Reporting to the BIM Manager, the BIM Coordinator will be tasked with producing and amending information and drawings in order to create a fully coordinated model. You will also support the BIM Manager, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and BIM Execution Plans. You will be keen to specialise in digitalisation of the industry and adoption of process technologies underpinned by BIM and will play a key part in the continued growth of this service.

What a typical day looks like:

  • The digital delivery of the MEP models and information management of the MEP design from bid stage to project close out

  • Providing an engineered solution to client design requirements with the routing of Anord Mardix Ibar & Databar products as well as creating engineered models for Modular Power Pods & Skids.

  • Liaising with trade partners in coordination of equipment and providing a clash-free model

  • Supporting all aspects of the Anord Mardix business in the delivery of digital outputs within project teams and the seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams

  • Representing Anord Mardix in liaising with clients, engineers and other design team members on a weekly basis per project assigned

  • Creating BIM / Revit Families of bespoke LV Switchgear in line with the projects BIM specifications up to LOD500

  • Produce drawings/models using Autodesk packages including AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, strong understanding of MEP coordination

  • Demonstrable experience in the use of Revit is preferable, however training can be provided for the right candidate

  • Relevant degree qualification would be advantageous

  • Previous exposure to or experience with electrical equipment design would be preferable

  • Understanding of the ISO19650 BIM standards

  • Experience in the use of Autodesk Docs, BIM360 and Navisworks would be advantageous

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills

  • Ability to travel to site locations when requested
