Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a CPS Technical Manager, located in Kendal at our Castle Mills.

Reporting to the Service & Maintenance Operations Manager, the CPS Technical Manager will provide technical support for project and maintenance works, ensuring all tasks are completed to specification, on time, within budget and in line with company quality and safety standards.  

What a typical day looks like:

  • Effectively apply the company's methodology and enforce project standards throughout all phases.

  • Develop and execute maintenance work plans, revising them as needed to accommodate changing requirements.

  • Assist in managing warranty issues and product recalls when necessary.

  • Ensure new Rectification & Remedial tracker is reviewed and signed off prior to works commencing.

  • Assess and prepare parts required for upcoming service works.

  • Ensure subcontractor RAMS are reviewed before work begins.

  • Liaise with clients and provide technical advice as required.

  • Collaborate with the design team to modify drawings when necessary.

  • Ensure service engineers have the correct parts and test equipment before starting work.

  • Assist with technical support on call outs and service works when required.

  • Generate comprehensive Operation & Maintenance manuals, including:

    • Operation procedures

    • Maintenance procedures

  • Support the technical department as required.

  • Provide technical assistance to the CPS operations team, CPS sales team, and key clients.

  • Create and review CPS reports.

  • Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for LV Switchgear tasks, including:

    • Isolated Maintenance

    • Breaker Maintenance

    • Thermal Imaging

  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.

  • Lead by example and promote a culture of safety and quality.

  • Encourage broad ownership of risk management across the team.

  • Maintain awareness of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental) matters relevant to ongoing work.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve company processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Relevant degree would be beneficial

  • Proven experience in a technical role supporting a Maintenance team

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SLD's and Schematics

  • Strong experience in reviewing RAMS and Method Statements  

  • Experience within the Power industry would be preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Eligible to work in the UK
