Job SummaryAnord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Support located in Kendal, UK.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Support will be responsible for tracking and reporting production changes, ensuring the production schedules are achievable ahead of time.
What a typical day looks like:
Work closely with production personnel on accountabilities and productivity issues
Develop strategies and liaise with operational teams on capacity & equipment utilization
Work closely with operations to ensure smooth flow from raw material to final goods stage
Assign tasks to production based on available capacity
Track production activities against the schedule, and take corrective actions to ensure timely completion of orders
Respond to unexpected events such as machine breakdowns, material shortages, by taking necessary corrective actions
Integration of available resources into the IBAR Schedule program across all disciplines reporting on potential equipment / personnel resource bottlenecks.
Highlight in a timely fashion any corrective actions required to maintain project schedule & develop a mitigation plan if / when projects run behind baseline schedule.
Publish daily and weekly look-ahead schedules reporting relevant data and information across project stakeholders.
Track and report production schedule changes and related documentation.
Undertake capacity forecasting and planning to assess ‘what if' scenarios.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time material delivery to production to minimise disruption to production schedules.
Work with the Schedulers to plan any change decisions
Risks to supply continuity are identified and acted upon to minimise the impact to production.
Where shortages arise, swift action is taken to minimise the impact on production and solutions are communicated to all impacted stakeholders.
Provide a link between Procurement, Production and Projects.
Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
Completing tasks as directed by the Production Manager.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Previous experience within a Heavy Industrial / Manufacturing role
Possess excellent organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills
Confident under pressure
Strong Microsoft Office skills
