Job SummaryAnord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Technician located in Dundalk, Ireland.
Reporting to the Quality Manager IE, the Quality Technician role will be part of an excellent team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative. You will be involved in the planning and execution of inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications, whilst communicating with production all identified issues to achieve Permanent Corrective Action Response.
What a typical day looks like:
Collection and validation of production data to support continuous improvement activities.
Support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for key aspects of product manufacturing.
Conduct sample incoming goods inspections as required.
Complete sample inspections of Work in Progress (WIP) and finished goods.
Complete sample inspections of Critical to Quality (CTQ) product requirements.
Communicate Quality observations and alerts to production teams.
Support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Assist operations team in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels against goals / KPIs.
Conduct internal Quality process audits as part of the Internal Audit Team.
Participate in Gemba walks and closing out of assigned actions as required.
Support the Non-Conforming Goods Process and supplier corrective actions.
Support resolution of internal and customer nonconformances.
Provide training and support on Quality tools to production teams, as necessary.
Represent the Quality Department at the morning production meetings.
Support the Quality team in achieving department Targets and Objectives.
Any other tasks that are deemed commensurate with the role.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Minimum 2 years Production and QC experience in switchgear manufacturing (or similar).
Ideally possess an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Qualification although training can be provided
A relevant third level qualification (Mechanical / Electrical / Quality) would be an advantage.
Analytical person, disciplined in collecting information, ascertaining root cause of issues, Identifying, and implementing practical & effective solutions.
An understanding of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
Proficient Microsoft office user (including Sharepoint and Teams).
Effective communication, interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills.
Must have strong customer focus and attention to detail.
