Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Site EHS Advisor, based out of our Dundalk facility, to cover various sites across Ireland and sites across the wider EMEA region.

Reporting to the Head of EHS Site Services, the Senior Site EHS Advisor role will be part of an excellent EHS team with the responsibility to ensure that the appropriate support and arrangements are in place of each of Anord Mardix facilities to best control risks, prevent accidents and incidents, and to elevate an EHS culture for all employees, visitors, contractors, and third parties. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, communicating, and coordinating EHS objectives.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead and promote a positive EHS Culture across the site, with all site personnel to drive a safe working environment

  • Assist Site Managers to ensure safe completion of tasks and activities

  • Devise and implement safety plans in line with client requirements to provide safe place of operation

  • Liaise with contractors to ensure Safe System of Works are implemented

  • Monitor site operations and practices to ensure compliance

  • Attend site project meetings to discuss EHS issues and plans

  • Ensure all EHS documentation is in place and valid

  • Issue Safety Reports to detail accident, incidents, and safety issues

  • Coordinate and maintain Organisational Management Systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) to ensure the effective management of Health, Safety and Environment matters at the Site Services Offices and on Operational Sites

  • Review, update, and publish HSA Controlled Documentation

  • Conduct and participate in the Auditing Process to assure compliance to requirements and report on findings

  • Communicate & Maintain Organisational Policies and Metrics

  • Proactively work with operational teams to ensure that EHS is considered at all stages and that relevant control measures are identified

  • Monitoring and Measuring EHS objectives and targets in-line with defined metrics

  • Compliance Assurance in line with client, legislation, and best practices

  • Managing, mentoring, training, and coaching personnel to HSA requirements and norms

  • Any other ad-hoc duties within the department

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Level 5 Qualification in Health & Safety

  • Thorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards

  • Experience in a similar EHS role within the construction industry

  • Experience working / communicating with sub-contractors

  • Member of IOSH or NEBOSH

  • Ability to advise on EHS issues and lead day-to-day site EHS activities

  • Ability to investigate accident incidents and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risk

  • Full driving licence is essential as travel between Irish sites is required, as well as willingness to travel across EMEA sites

  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to organise own workload and use initiative

  • Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives

  • High level of organisation

  • Efficient with thorough methods of working Ability to follow through on Corrective Actions and identify positive and negative acts
