Reporting to the Shop Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement of repairs through our shop facility.  This includes procurement, warehousing, picking and quality functions.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Work in a safe manner, lead by example and contribute to overall company safety.

  • Document incoming repair components and initiate repair process.

  • Work with Shop Team to prepare orders for technicians including picking parts, assembling work packages, preparing materials and staging components for assembly.

  • Manage and maintain shop warehouse inventory including cycle counting, picking and staging of product. Coordinate and facilitate the shipment of components to subcontractors for outsourced work

  • Prepare completed repairs for shipment back to customers including completing documentation, taking pictures, ensuring requiring packaging is present and all required quality actions have been completed.

  • Assist with procuring and expediting required components for ongoing projects. 

  • Help review open purchase orders and expedite vendor delivery as required. 

  • Collaborate to facilitate the flow of repairs through the facility.  

  • Contribute to ensuring all day to day activities required to maintain operations are completed including general housekeeping, scrap disposal and other duties as assigned.

  • Contribute to continuously improving processes and procedures in a proactive manner.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working in a shop service environment 

  • Familiarity with Fluid Power and Power Transmission components & systems would be considered an asset

  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Strong proficiency working with computers, including Microsoft Suite

  • Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, as well as internal and external customers
