We are inviting applications for the position of Shop Repair Technician, to join our busy hydraulic service department in Prince Albert, SK. Duties would include working with our experienced service team to repair hydraulic components (pumps, motors, valves & cylinders, etc.) for our diverse customer base.
The successful candidate would possess good mechanical abilities with related trade experience, however, we're also open to those pursuing apprenticeship or interested in pursing apprenticeship. Be able to understand and learn basic mechanical and hydraulic concepts, with interest for advancement, including related trade apprenticeship/career path.
Responsibilities:
General shop repair duties as assigned or required
Follow guidance & training instruction from our experienced tech service team
Hydraulic component repair
Welding & fabrication
Hose assembly builds
Other tasks as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude, ability to grasp and learn mechanical concepts
Ability to learn and understand hydraulic systems and component service/repair
Ability to work in a team environment
Self motivated and detail oriented
Demonstrate sound judgement with an extremely high level of attention to detail
Ability to work safely, lead by example and contribute to overall company safety.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Journeyman/Apprentice status in a related trade (Millwright, Heavy Duty, Welding, Machining & Electrical OR Interest in apprenticeship training career path
Previous experience in a repair shop environment
Experience with forklift operation
