Why This Role Matters:
The Vice President, Strategy MVH NA is a critical thought partner to shape the future of the Mars Veterinary Health strategy and roadmap. Working closely with Global Leadership team members, NA Banner Presidents, and the Global VP, MVH Strategy &Transformation, this role provides critical external intelligence, strategic thought partnership, and strategy development for the MVH North American region. This leader will play a critical role in working with the internal and external stakeholders such as the Petcare strategy team, external consultants to ensure engagement in key strategy development activities.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have exceptional collaboration and communication skills to navigate between strategy development and strategic activation & measurement within the Strategy team. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively and influence matrixed and cross-functional teams as well as critically assess interdependencies across multiple programs/initiatives, while adapting the strategy to the evolving competitive environment.
You Will:
Strategy Development & Planning
Lead NA strategy development and strategic planning processes (IVCP, AEP) for MVH, supported by data and insights from both internal and external sources.
Collaborate with the MVH Global Leadership Team and specifically the NA Banner Presidents to set and drive organizational vision, operational strategy, and key initiatives. This role will support overall strategy development and priority strategy deep dives across NA banners in partnership with banner Presidents.
Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., Business Development, Banner Presidents, Chief Client Officer, etc.) on inorganic strategies / stage papers and new innovation models.
Act as a sounding board for the MVH VP Strategy & Transformation in decision-making, offering critical insights and recommendations and as a collaborative cross-regional partner for the MVHE MVH VP Strategy.
Market & Competitive intelligence:
Lead competitive intelligence and conduct deep-dive analyses into industry trends and competitive dynamics across the industry and within comparable health systems; provide coverage of earnings releases and competitive developments
Partner with the Global Petcare Strategy team on market / category forecasts and key drivers to inform strategic planning processes
Strategic deep dives & insights:
Lead deep dive analysis across high priority strategic questions to inform key decisions, partnering with cross- functional teams and leadership
Special projects:
Support Global MVH VP Strategy & Transformation and MVH Global Leadership team on special Strategy projects (e.g., evaluation of Petcare ecosystem opportunities, MVP/pilot opportunities) and provide analytical and strategic development support where required
MVH Global Leadership Team Support:
Support preparation of senior leadership team presentations and workshops
Coordinate key leadership meetings & events in partnership with Corporate Affairs teams (e.g., Hub meetings, workshops, Leaders Summits, etc.), set agendas, track follow-ups, and ensure meeting time is used effectively
Prepare reports, briefings, presentations, and other materials for executive-level meetings, Board presentations, and external engagements
Your Experience Should Include:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, management, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
8-10 years of relevant work experience required, ideally in strategy, consulting, or Chief of Staff / leadership role. Previous experience working closely with C-level and/or global executives is preferred.
Experience with healthcare and scientific sectors preferred.

Salary: $241,500- $377,344
