What you will be doing:As a member of the Maintenance Team, this position will be accountable for the maintenance of all plant equipment, facilities, and powered mobile equipment, including inspections and documentation. This role will act as a subject matter expert to ensure the site's operating equipment is thoroughly inspected and well maintained to eliminate downtime. The Maintenance Lead will work with management, team members, and other key stakeholders to develop reliability excellence techniques and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •    Utilizes safe work practices and executes all risk management processes flawlessly •    Assist in the development of and apply predictive, preventative and reactive maintenance programs•    Maintain and execute the required scheduled maintenance activities for all on site equipment•    Effectively coordinate the required facility or equipment downtime to minimize business interruptions and lead coordination with external contractors as required•    Trouble Shoot and problem solve plant equipment problems•    Provide input to management to ensure reliable and cost-effective alternatives are explored and evaluated, using reliable resources to procure quotes and information•    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and standardization of processes•    Safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, aerial lifts, and power tools•    Maintain a clean and orderly work area•    Monitor, sort, store, and upkeep spare parts inventory•    Maintain a clean and worker friendly shop environment•    Assist in the process of purchasing maintenance related items as approved by Management•    Teach, mentor and train junior workers to develop trade related skills•    Other duties as required for the success of the site SKILLS/EXPERIENCE•    Unwavering safety mindset and commitment to managing risk•    Electrical maintenance and/or Welding experience considered an asset•    Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision•    Knowledge of conveyer belts, drags, conveyers, large gear boxes, large electric motors and bucket elevators •    Agricultural industry experience considered an asset•    Pleasant demeanor with an ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks while working within a team environment•    Ability to engage and interact with third-party contractors and suppliers•    Strong work ethic REQUIREMENTS •    2-3 years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic and/or Millwright/Electrician in a production or manufacturing environment•    Previous leadership or lead experience an asset•    Other related or combinations of education and experience will be considered•    Trade Journeyman certificate or an engineering degree or certificate an asset•    Good analytical, mechanical and problem-solving skills•    Valid class 5 driver's license•    Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends•    Able to climb stairs and ladders on a daily basis•    Able to work at heights of 100 feet or more
