Summary of Position:
This position provides general support of various software applications by applying specific knowledge to ensure effective and optimal use of current applications in collaboration with build teams and implementation/support teams. The position holder may participate in any phase of both large and small projects, maintaining accountability for the completion of assigned tasks, the operation of assigned system modules, and user understanding of such applications.
Qualifications
Education:
• High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred, however hands on work experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Experience:
• At least four years' experience in the information systems field or equivalent in a healthcare setting required.
• EPIC Reporting experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Exceptional Customer services and follow up skills.
• Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal and time management skills, proven problem solving and experience in providing confidential administrative support.
• Knowledge of clinical, healthcare information and/ or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of hospital and clinic operations.
Certifications/Licensure:
• Epic Systems experience with a potential for software credentialing and/or certification as deemed appropriate preferred
• EPIC certifications preferred

Essential Functions
1. Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.
2. Facilitates timely and effective communication to departmental leadership regarding the status of work requests and work deliverables.
3. Ensures communication to requesters regarding the status of their requests.
4. Works with IT technical team on projects requiring cross-over.
5. Coordinates with the proper personnel to provide timely and accurate answers for customers.
6. Ensures detailed documentation is produced and maintained.
7. Understands and resolves complex problems in a timely and effective manner using critical thinking skills.
8. Routinely manages workloads in a professional manner.
9. Helps ensure coordination of EMR resources and priorities.
10. Provides Clinical and physician education, support and reviews workflows ensuring that the EMR is complete and compliant.
11. Provides information and assistance regarding improvements in EMR documentation.
12. Ensures resolution of support requests.
13. Coordinates education efforts in conjunction with the EMR Customer Liaison staff.
14. Demonstrates willingness to identify and/or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of the department.
15. Demonstrates dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department and hospital.
16. Accepts assignment as preceptor for new staff.
17. Completes work assignments on time/readily accepts assignments.
18. Responds to the needs of the department by performing other duties, as necessary.
