PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

As a member of the Corporate Public Relations and Marketing team, this is a key role in creative concept development, interactive content design, and consistent visual execution across multiple channels. Integrating the work of team members who coordinate different facets of brand storytelling, this individual helps advance a cohesive creative strategy that leverages new/emerging and traditional platforms. This position delivers bold, memorable campaigns using the latest concepts and tools to reinforce Blanchard Valley Health System's brand identity and messaging. The position may work onsite in Findlay, Ohio, or within the Blanchard Valley Health System remote hiring footprint.
 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Duty 1: Collaborates with the Director, Corporate Public Relations and Marketing, and the Chief People Officer to develop and drive a powerful brand vision that promotes Blanchard Valley Health System as a care destination and employer of choice.

  • Duty 2: Works with the Corporate Public Relations and Marketing team to produce new ideas for organizational branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications.

  • Duty 3: Liaises with providers, service line leaders, and Administration across acute and ambulatory spaces; translates their marketing needs into actionable strategies and tangible materials that increase market share.

  • Duty 4: Develops comprehensive multi-channel strategic roadmaps, and provides visibility to clients and departmental and executive leadership; incorporates client and leader feedback to arrive at final, approved layouts.

  • Duty 5: Oversees the creative direction and content development for the health system's external and internal web presences; configures search engine optimization (SEO) of digital content to ensure BVHS and its providers and services are prominently and competitively featured for online audiences.

  • Duty 6: Advises on and completes interactive design, user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing and all facets of the creative process.

  • Duty 7: Implements a cohesive, modern visual identity across the health system footprint to clearly and consistently identify all practices and locations as part of BVHS.

  • Duty 8: Creates state-of-the art visual compositions that demonstrate essential graphic design principles, including color theory, repetition, alignment, and visual hierarchy.

  • Duty 9:  Develops internal and external communications, including regular newsletters and broadcast messages, to engage/inform key audiences and help manage change; writes compelling copy.

  • Duty 10: Executes on highly relevant social media campaigns that increase followership and engagement, and integrates them into the overarching web presence.

  • Duty 11: Manages the organization's brand image and reputation across online and offline media channels.

  • Duty 12: Remains on the leading edge of marketing and design trends, helping the organization to be ahead of the curve and “break through the clutter” in a crowded advertising landscape.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or design-related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years' creative industry experience in an agency setting, working to further large national brands.

  • All candidates must possess an industry-competitive portfolio of multi-channel branding and communications work.

  • Strong track record of completing high volume projects with speed while maintaining a high level of quality; ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and meet established timelines.

  • Proven experience leading brand refreshes and web platform transitions.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate creative concepts into tangible designs that resonate with target audiences and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Exceptional design skills with a mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) to deliver high-quality creative outputs in a fast-paced, complex environment.

  • Ability to use creative tools to animate custom content.

  • Proficiency with using Figma to optimize the creative workflow and provide proofs of concept.

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web development platforms.    

  • A valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver's license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state).  You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle.   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing creative campaigns for the healthcare industry, as part of an in-house arrangement or with an agency client(s).  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and standing. The associate must be able to sit up to four hours and walk three hours per day. The individual must be able to lift twenty to fifty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. This position requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. Individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. This associate must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
