Summary

The purpose of the Warehouse Lead Clerk is to assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the day to day operations of the warehouse and oversee the quality of goods in the warehouse.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the creating and implementing of break schedules and cleaning schedules.
  • Responsible for enforcing policies and procedures set forth by management.
  • Inspection of daily warehouse operating equipment as it pertains to safety.
  • Will be the designated safety representative for the warehouse department; this includes attending safety meetings and providing feedback to and from the warehousing department.
  • Responsible for conducting quality control inspections through out all warehouse operations and will provide feedback to management.
  • Ensure that all quality control standards are being met and that HACCP guidelines are being followed as it pertains to the handling of food and beverage product.
  • Ensure a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Assist during inventory periods as needed.
  • May be asked from time to time to perform additional job duties as it relates to the job position.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 11 employees in the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education

Up to one year related experience or training. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate should also be self-motivated and eager to learn. Food and beverage experience preferred.

 

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License. Candidate must have a valid California Drivers License. Candidate must successfully pass Cache Creek's training for lifts, electric/internal combustion forklifts, and be able to pass a ServSafe training class.
