Description

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** Perform general nursing responsibilities in multiple areas, as assigned with guidance, to ensure excellent patient care. You will report to the RN Unit Manager.

**Primary Tasks:**

+ Provide direct patient, assessment and planning for individualized patient care.

+ Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including chest pain and changes in vital signs and results of diagnostic studies.

+ You will respond quickly to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.

+ Create an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.

+ Evaluate discharge needs, and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge.

+ Assess and reassess pain management techniques used. Educate the patient and family regarding pain management.

+ You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family.

+ Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

**Required Education** **and experience:**

+ Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing (or Multi-State Nursing License)

+ Current CPR certification required

+ Good customer service skills

+ General computer and office skills
