The Opportunity

Under limited supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and work experience to perform quantitative and qualitative risk analyses of retail and small business portfolios. Designs, prepares and distributes risk reports. Performs various credit risk analyses to ensure compliance with establish exposure limits. Works independently on difficult assignments that are both broad in scope and complex in nature.

The Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly credit risk reports.
  • Collect and review data for accuracy.
  • Assist in the design, development and testing of credit risk reports.
  • Coordinate efforts between Risk Management and the business units to resolve exception/exposure items and prepare responses for Senior Management inquiries
  • Develop comprehensive and efficient solutions to complex risk measurement and reporting needs.
  • Provide analysis and commentary regarding significant credit exposure and concentrations issues.
  • Analyze business processes, procedures, and information requirements to resolve problems and improve workflow and process efficiency.
  • Calculate risk using industry standard models, potential future exposures, and stress testing.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Qualifications

  • General concepts of credit risk management and retail banking
  • Data analysis
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
  • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • SQL, Python, Oracle familiarity, Tableau, Snowflake and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to: Conduct research to assess probability and severity of risk.
  • Analyze, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Interpret, analyze and apply information.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners.
  • Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
  • Comply with established standards and procedures.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant business experience in financial services.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $53.16/hour - $56.99/hour
