DATA ANALYST WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Data Analyst works within the Insights, Data Engineering & Analytics organization to support the data pipeline strategies and objectives across the bank. The Data Analyst will guide end-to-end process, standards, and guidelines to ensure accurate and efficient data delivery of tasks and projects. What you will do
- Develop and maintain project tracking including status updates to stakeholders
* Review and research current state processes; recommend enhancements, modernization and/or automation
* Partner with lines of business and technology teams to make recommendations for future state
* Become the business subject matter expert, experienced in business analysis and requirements gathering
* Participate in process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities and organizational change activities
* Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools
* Develops and supports the delivery of information to assist tactical and strategic programs
* Establishes tracking metrics and standards documentation for adoption and audit
* Coordinate and obtain access to data and identify technical resources for project support
* This individual will be looked upon to proactively troubleshoot for the best solution given the strategic direction of the division
* Able to document requirements, test solutions provided based on the requirements
* Able to document processes, controls and or checks implemented for the processes
* Previous experience in working with Tech stakeholders, including BRD, UAT, issue tracking, JIRA
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in data analysis or analytics in the banking industry
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Prior banking experience and extensive experience of process analysis, design, process mapping and modeling
* Knowledge of business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile)
* Ability to write user stories, work with technical and non-technical teams and lead prioritization calls with stakeholders
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Familiarity with project management principles and tools
* Ability to work independently and in a team setting
* Independently evaluates business system needs and documents requirements, recommends solutions and leads the project through completion
* Works on high priority projects where business needs are complex and unique
* Works on a diverse book of work requiring data analysis
* Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, SnowFlake, Alteryx and Tableau preferred
