Description

MANAGER SALESFORCE PLATFORM WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Salesforce Platform is ultimately accountable for the technical operation, administration, dev ops and governance of the CNR Salesforce application and related applications and services. This colleague will partner with other members of the CNR Salesforce team, including the Product Owner, Solution Architect, Agile Scrum Master, and developers, to implement new features, provide end-user support, and comply with all of the required elements of IT application governance, dev ops gates, and Agile ceremonies. This colleague plays a critical role, providing both centralized governance and control of the application while also enabling other team members to play more direct roles in bringing new features to life. The ideal candidate will have the skills and aptitude to flexibly lean out from the centralized administration of Salesforce into the roles of developer, scrum master, and solution architect as needed to back up other teammates. In order to succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate combination of soft skills: diligent and conscientious execution of IT administration processes; effective team-building and collaboration skills; a passion for enabling others; and a deep technical understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem. What you will do

  • Ensure that we comply with all of the requirements for IT governance, risk management and controls (GRC) for Salesforce and related applications and services.

    • Provision, seed and administer lower-level environments used for development across a wide ecosystem of development trains and applications, including non-Salesforce proprietary CNR applications that integrate with Salesforce.
    • Facilitate the promotion of changes forward and backward across lower-level environments to enable effective release management.
    • Comply with all IT governance requirements of the release management process.
    • Potentially, fill the role of scrum master and project manager in the absence of a dedicated PM/SM if the volume of work does not permit a dedicated PM/SM.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and administer release management tools for the Salesforce ecosystem, in collaboration with the broader RBC Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Ensure the sound technical operations of the CNR Salesforce platform and related applications, including Pardot, Riva, OwnBackup, Sesame, Salesforce Connect, and custom ETL's in SSIS and Azure Synapse.
    • Cultivate relationships with the vendors and maintain regular check-ins to ensure that the applications are operating well within the capacities, capabilities and non-functional requirements we've established.
    • Establish and monitor KPI dashboards to ensure that all technical processes are running as expected
    • Promptly resolve any incidents or issues that have been identified, and collaborate with other technology groups to resolve issues that extend to other responsibilities.
  • Directly administer, optimize and provide end-user support for the Salesforce application.
    • Includes, but is not limited to: user and license management, support, and system upgrades. They ensure effective utilization of Salesforce tools and collaborate with stakeholders to meet organizational requirements.
  • Provide additional capacity and back-up coverage for various roles, including Salesforce developers, scrum master, and solution architect.
