PERFORMANCE REPORTING ANALYST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position provides systems administration, reports and analysis, and data management support that improves the delivery and efficiency of City National Rochdale services. Creates and compiles monthly and quarterly performance data and reports utilizing the Advent APX System, reconciles performance discrepancies, assists in performance audits, and other special projects as requested. Processes the daily posting and reconciling of transactional data from multiple sources.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design, produce and distribute timely and accurate, ad-hoc performance reports and calculations with the Advent APX System on a monthly/quarterly basis for individual accounts and composites. Provide analysis and interpretation of report data as required.
- Assist with the reconciliation of performance discrepancies by auditing transactions and account postings. Create spreadsheets to monitor reasonable returns.
- Assist with annual and quarterly audits. Retrieve and prepare audit reports for use during the annual KPMG audit on composite returns.
- Stay abreast on specific reporting standards – AIMR-PPS (Performance Presentation Standards).
- Process the early morning transactional data from multiple custodians. Post to respective accounts and reconcile positions, prices and values.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial related industry with direct experience in performance reporting and/or attribution analysis.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in using Microsoft Office applications
- Must possess strong analytical and math skills.
- Strong understanding of performance and risk related terms and calculations such as Total Return, Standard Deviation, Yield, Duration, Beta Alpha, etc.
- Excellent computer literacy with a proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other financial related systems (e.g., Advent, SEI Trust, NetX360).
- Experience with Advent a plus.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $65,296 - $104,304 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
