SENIOR MANAGER DATA TRANSFORMATION WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? As the Head of Data Transformation, this role will define and lead the programmatic implementation of the Data Strategy. This position will develop and manage the company-wide roadmap for implementing comprehensive data management and governance across the firm. This role will partner across City National Bank Businesses, Technology & Innovation, Corporate Functions, Information Risk Management and with Royal Bank of Canada to ensure alignment with company-wide policies and standards. This senior data leader position with have proven ability to develop data strategies, govern, and deliver large and complex technology-enabled data programs in a matrixed organization.Direct & indirect leadership for multiple related departments. What you will do
- Develop a comprehensive multi-year data transformation roadmap based on business priorities, defined frameworks, policies and standards.
- Partner with business and data leaders across the organization to identify and inventory a complete list reports, models and analytics and their associated data sources
- Develop a risk-based prioritization methodology to identify our most important uses of data across the company the drives consistent implementation.
- Develop an enterprise inventory of target state approved data sources by data domain and associated gap assessment leveraging data lineage, data issues and observations. Building a data City National Bank Data Product inventory.
- Drive the implementation of the data transformation roadmap while managing and effectively communicating risks and escalations
- Design and implement data transformation roadmap processes and controls
- Develop committee and board-level reporting and metrics to enable effective monitoring and board oversight
- Develop comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting and present updates to appropriate committees
- Provide guidance and support on data initiatives and cross-domain efforts or issues.

Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale data transformation initiatives
- Minimum 8 years of People Management experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience with Program Management
Skills and Knowledge
- MBA preferred
- Preferred 10+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry
- Strong leadership and C-Suite/Board communication skills
- Experience leading major data initiatives in large financial institutions
- Experience in operationalizing large-scale data management and governance functions
- Proven capability in delivering business insights and measuring the effectiveness against business objectives
- Expertise in creating and deploying best practices and methodologies
- Experience managing and leading data teams in a matrixes environment
