You will be part of a supportive team where you'll manage procurements for projects of varying complexity, from office supplies to infrastructure initiatives like recreation centers and LRT construction. Using your professional judgment, diplomacy, and strong time management skills, you will provide advice to our business partners, lead end-to-end procurement processes. What will you do?
- Collaborate with business partners to develop sourcing strategies for low to intermediate complexity procurements, including competitive and non-competitive processes
- Compose and manage various RFx documents and evaluation plans, ensuring all processes are compliant with City policies, trade agreements, and applicable best practices
- Facilitate RFx evaluations, consensus scoring, and lower-risk negotiations with suppliers
- Create and review contract and Purchase Order documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Provide expert advice to business and community partners and collaborators on procurement procedures and best practices
- Conduct research on suppliers and market trends to ensure the City utilizes effective sourcing methods
- Draft correspondence to unsuccessful suppliers and facilitate professional supplier debriefings
- May represent the City as part of a team representing the City by providing advice and guidance to potential bidders and suppliers by helping them gain a greater understanding of the City's procurement processes
