Up to 1 temporary full-time position for 4 months, commencing in May 2025, intended specifically for students currently enrolled in a photography, graphic design, or digital media related diploma or degree program.
The City of Edmonton has a terrific opportunity for a digital media student to support the Creative Services team in the Office of the Chief Communications Officer. You will be responsible for the coordination and curation of the City's digital photographic assets along with the general support of digital asset management activities. This position also contributes to the creation of new digital assets by applying their photography skills to capture new content. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while gaining valuable knowledge and skills in an empowering environment.
As a part of the team, you may:
- Support the development and implementation of digital asset management workflow including metadata strategies
- Participate in creative and digital meetings and advise on digital asset needs
- Coordinate and curate assets in the digital asset library
- Assist with photography assignments
- Demonstrate the City's Cultural Commitments of Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent as well as the seven commitments made to reconciliation through the City's Indigenous Framework
