Are you passionate about the game of golf? Do you enjoy spending your summer outdoors, contributing to the beauty of our city's golf courses?
The Community and Recreation Facilities Branch is looking for individuals to fill Labourer I positions, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the golf course grounds and associated work areas. (Victoria, Riverside, and Rundle). The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn new skills and will take pride in their contributions to the high quality of the golf course grounds, while providing a welcoming experience for all members, guests, and associates.
What will you do?
- Maintain high quality golf course conditions through industry proven best practices.
- Plant and maintain annual flowers, shrub beds, and manage vegetation
- Operate small power equipment such as push lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and small rototillers
- Use of tools such as shovels, rakes, stake pounders, and small hand tools
- Operate ride-on mowers
- Move and transport waste and materials, possibly with use of a trailer
- Load and unload materials from trucks
- Provide overall facility support
- Respond to public inquiries
- Assist co workers and perform other related duties as required
