**This posting is for one (1) temporary position with benefits, which may end on or before October 30, 2029 and one (1) temporary position which may end on or before August 31, 2026 **
The Edmonton Police Service requires two (2) organized, detail-oriented, individuals to provide analysis and call center reporting to the Data and Technology Unit of the Emergency Communications and Operations Management Branch. Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards to support data driven decision making by the leadership team.
- Produce ad-hoc reporting on-demand to support internal initiatives, projects, and investigations.
- Lead the design, development, automation and maintenance of statistical data and information for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on statistical analytics and establish robust mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the emergency call center.
- Manage the Extraction, Translation, and Loading of data from various sources, including telephony and dispatch data, to serve the needs of Reporting and Analytics.
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators by applying statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to inform operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards to support data driven decision making by the leadership team.
- Present complex concepts and analyses to stakeholders leveraging sound written and verbal communication skills complemented by striking and informative visual storytelling.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding data literacy, use of reporting tools, statistical concepts, and practices.
- Create and maintain process maps, documentation, and training material; deliver training to stakeholders as needed.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to research and share best practices and methodologies.
