Do you have experience in digital service design, product ownership or user experience and know how to help an organization deliver better digital services? 

The City of Edmonton is seeking an experienced practitioner and strategic thinker to fill the role of Program Lead, Digital Service Products to join our Service Innovation and Performance Branch. This role requires a unique blend of expertise, bridging the realms of business and process requirements, human-centered service design, and technology. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of user-centered digital service products that enhance the lives of Edmontonians, acting as a practitioner and expert in guiding cross-corporate digital service tools from concept to launch and beyond.

As well, you will need to be equipped with a vision for digital transformation in order to provide guidance in maturing our digital service product management capabilities, ensuring that our online tools are intuitive, effective, and user-friendly. Your expertise will help shape the future of digital service delivery at the City of Edmonton.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of digital service products, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals  
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, resources, and budgets, utilizing agile methodologies to guide product evolution  
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility assessments to inform product design and development  
  • Develop service blueprints, prototypes, and process maps to optimize user journeys and service experiences  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product implementation 
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on digital service delivery best practices, contributing to the growth of the organization's digital maturity  
  • Research and recommend new technologies and approaches to enhance digital service offerings and improve user experience  
  • Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and standards for digital service products  
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing iterative enhancements  
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating best practices into digital service delivery strategies  
  • Other related responsibilities
